Roh supercard of honor 20165/10/2023 ![]() Nothing fantastic but always entertaining. This was a fun match that had some comedy and a couple of good spots. Daddiego beats down Dijax after the match. Cheeseburger gets on a roll hitting everyone with palm strikes until Castle hits him with the Bangarang for the win. We get a huge dive from Dijak on top of everyone on the outside. The comedy spot of the match is everyone receiving a low blow, but Kazarian followed by everyone kicking Frankie in the nuts at the same time. ![]() The tagging in an out lasts for a short time before everyone breaks out in the ring and at ringside. It was a funny moment when Kazarian, creeped out by Dalton, gets refused a tag by all the other competitors. Castle and Kazarian take a good portion of the beginning. This is setup like a four corners tag match with two men in at all times. Dalton Castle gets pretty big pop from the crowd, but the crowd went absolutely nuts for the entrance of Cheeseburger. Frankie KazarianīJ Whitmer cuts a promo before the match, but it consists of absolutely nothing. As soon as the bell ring, Bobby Fish attacks Strong, but Strong quickly retreats through the crowd.ĭonovan Dijak vs. Moose gets a big pop from the crowd after kicking out of the Sick Kick, but Roderick immediately goes back on the attack with three jumping knees for the win. Bobby Fish, who was on commentary for this match, gets mistakenly kicked in the face by Moose, who is then hit by Strong flying from the ring. The match continues with a back and forth of Strong trying to wear down Moose and Moose powering back from it. Always a good heel move that I will never discourage. Roderick gets control back working over Moose and at one point going to the outside and getting face to face with a fan in a New Day shirt. Strong attacks before the bell trying to get the upper hand, but Moose uses hit strength to take control. ![]() Moose’s match with Kazuchika Okada at the ROH 14th Anniversary show not only surprised me but made me believe in the future for this guy hands down. I was looking forward to this match going in due to the fact of Roderick Strong being a consistently good worker and Moose getting better with every match. Two crafty veterans doing what they do best. Good match with great body part ring psychology from both men. After failing once with it, Fish is able to get Daniels in an ankle lock for the submission victory. Late in the match, Fish is working hard to get a submission using Daniels ankle and Daniels trying to get the same from Fish’s arm. We get a quick burst of maneuvers out of Fish, but that doesn’t last long as Daniels takes back over quickly working over Fish’s arm. Slow paced back and forth action starts the match with Daniels getting a majority of the offense. At this point, I feel like I would be disappointed if he did lose his rebel veteran status. From the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas, let’s get on to the action.īefore the bell, no surprise with Christopher Daniels still refusing to adhere to the Code of Honor. When it’s all said and done, it’s about which promotion stands out at the end of the weekend. ROH put together a great first night card for a packed WresleMania weekend. A line up like that alone will have me watching. Also, on the card are the intriguing matches of The Young Bucks against the newly reformed Motor City Machineguns, Kyle O’Reilly taking on Matt Sydal and Roderick Strong up against Moose. We have a ROH World Championship match with Jay Lethal defending against the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament Winner Lio Rush. Catch his answer here.By from WrestleMania weekend is the tenth anniversary of ROH Supercard of Honor and a super card it is. We asked Drew McIntyre what Roman Reigns' weakness is. Personally, I think this is the perfect time for ROH to book Ishii in either a singles match against the likes of Punisher Martinez or Silas Young. ROH: Supercard of Honor 2018 takes place during WrestleMania 34 weekend in New Orleans and the show will be main-evented by the much-anticipated one-on-one bout between Bullet Club’s Kenny Omega and Cody Rhodes. Ishii, who has dominated NJPW’s Never Openweight division for the past few years, is now set to make a return to the United States later this year as part of ROH: Supercard of Honor 2018, as he joins the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, and Keny Omega.Īdditionally, ROH also teased the possibility of Ishii invoking his rematch clause for the ROH TV Title, which he lost back in 2016 to Bobby Fish. Back in 2016, “The Stone Pitbull” shocked Ring of Honor fans after successfully capturing the ROH World TV Title following an impressive win over then-champion Roderick Strong.
